Heat Wave (STASH 1 / NUTRIENT)
Happy Sunday Stonerds! Today we’re shining a light on the mother of board clearing cards, Heat Wave. Heat Wave is a stash one Nutrient card from the Kickstarter set that when played destroys all CannaBeasts on the field. While you may prefer not to destroy your own CannaBeasts, when in a tight spot with your back against the wall Heat Wave is a card capable of turning the game around for you.
The best way to minimize the negative effects of having to destroy your own beasts is building out your stash with the many different utility CannaBeasts that will give you extra cards, pounds, etc. This works very well with Heat Wave but honestly goes for all situations and can vastly improve your game.
Being a Nutrient card, you are only going to be able to play Heat Wave on your own turn giving you an extra bit of strategy in playing it. You can time your playing of Heat Wave to best suit your next moves, clearing the board before you have planted a CannaBeast gives you the freedom to plant and open attack on your turn. Better yet if you have a Relighting Roach and can bring a tribute CannaBeast back, revive and tribute to get one on the field, or get two beasts on the field in one turn.
Heat Wave: Pairs well with
Any utility CannaBeast that triggers from being sent to the ashtray.
Dank Receiver: When your CannaBeast with a THC level of 10% or lower was destroyed by battle revive it your side of the field until the end of the current turn. (Ambush, Stash 3)
