Father 420 (STASH 3 / STONER)
Let’s get it Stonerds! We’ve got another solid Stoner CannaBeast from the Kickstarter set, Father 420. Father 420 is a middle ranged defensive utility Beast has a respectable base defense of 165, enough to hold its own against most no tribute CannaBeasts. Buff your Father 420 up with a Danksgiving Roast to raise its defense to 215 and it can hold up to even some middle tier 1 tribute Beasts.
Where Father 420 shines is its sling ability “Sling: When this card is attacked in defense position your opponent's battle step ends,” causing your opponent’s Battle step to end immediately before their attack goes through forcing them into the Hustle step of their turn. Working only from the sling action while being attacked defensively this is a one-time effect per card unless you have it returned to your hand to play face down again.
This isn’t the most powerful card effect but it’s one that can definitely give you a nudge in the right direction. Sometimes that slight breather can be all you need to start getting your strategy together. A couple Father 420s added to a Stoner Stash would be primed for max potential.
Father 420: Pairs well with
Danksgiving Roast: Attach this roast to any Stoner you control on the field to gain 50 attack & 50 defense. (Nutrient, Stash 1)
Iron Leaf: Select one CannaBeast on your side of the field, this card will gain 30 defense until the turn has ended. (Ambush, Stash 1)
