In the Pines (STASH 1 / AMBUSH)

Hey there Stonerds!  Let’s look at another one of the many great Ambush cards from the Kickstarter set, In the Pines.  In the Pines is a solid Ambush card that lets you prevent your opponent from attacking for one turn.  This is a very welcome ability, even though one turn may not seem like much of a breather, when you’re in the pines one turn may be just enough to see yourself through it.

Being an ambush card In the Pines can be utilized on both players’ turns, admittedly there isn’t a ton of strategy that goes into playing In the Pines.  If you know for a fact you don’t want your opponent to attack their next turn, like if they have a Beast Mode on the field ready to run through your offensive line, you can play In the Pines on your turn to give yourself a one shot at drawing the right card.  If you aren’t sure you want to play it yet you can wait until your opponent is going through their turn to play, say neither you nor your opponent have a beast on the field and they plant a CannaBeast on their turn In the Pines can give you that one turn breather until you can plant a beast or save you a turn of direct attack if you’re hoping to draw one.

In the Pines: Pairs well with

Any situation you might need a one turn breather from being attacked.

When you’re in the pines…
